FFmpeg Linux Install

M-Star Post can leverage FFmpeg to encode output image frames into a highly compressed mp4 file using the x264 codec. M-Star does not include FFmpeg on Linux, so you need to install this software using your operating system package manager.

Redhat

  • Enable RPM Fusion repo. Install FFmpeg according to documentation.

  • In M-Star Post when you save an animation, select External FFMPEG/MP4.

  • Specify the full path to the FFmpeg installation: /usr/bin/ffmpeg.

  • Select Save, in the lower left corner of the Save Animation Form, to save this setting.

  • Select OK to save the animation.
