Add Internal Points¶
Introduction¶
An Internal Point must be defined for every Static Body Conduction object. The Internal Point identifies the region of space that should be interpreted as the conductive solid domain during geometry processing. This is analogous to the flood-fill point concept used for fluid regions, where a point inside the desired domain is used to distinguish the physical region from the surrounding exterior space.
The specified point should lie within the intended conductive solid region. During mesh generation and geometry interpretation, the solver uses this point to determine which connected volume belongs to the conduction body.
When a Static Body Conduction object is first added to a static body, the Add Internal Point form is automatically launched so the conduction region can be initialized immediately. An internal point needs to be added to each child geometry.
Access¶
When you select Add Internal Point on the applicable context-specific toolbar, the Add Internal Point form will launch where you can select an internal point, resulting in following section on a property grid.
