Edit Fill Points¶
Introduction¶
The Edit Fill Points form allows you to modify the number and position of flood fill points in your system which define the initial extent of the domain. The fill point differentiates the interior from the exterior zone of the lattice domain.
By default, the fill point is set to the center of the main lattice domain. Users can move the flood fill point to other locations inside the domain or add multiple flood fill points. To discriminate interior from exterior zones, the solver performs a 3D flood fill beginning at a user-defined fill point and then expands to the vessel walls and/or the simulation bounding box.
For a more in-depth discussion, see fill options on the Main Lattice page.
In the example below, the fill point is moved from the default centroid of the domain to an interior zone.

Access¶
When you select Edit Fill Points on the Main Lattice context-specific toolbar, the form below will launch.
Edit Fill Points Form¶

Edit the flood fill points for the fluid domain. Choose points that are inside the fluid region. These are used as seed points to the flood fill algorithm that are used to specify the initial fluid field. Select a point in the list or 3D view. Then drag the trihedron to change the point location.
- Add Point
Add a new point to the point cloud
