Child Geometry Context-Specific Toolbar

Context-Specific Toolbar Options

Description

move Move

The Move form enables three-dimensional rigid body transform of object through free drag or point-to-point snapping.

rotate Rotate

The Rotate form enables three-dimensional rotation of geometry.

scale Scale

The Scale form enables volumetric scaling of a geometry about a set anchor point.

mate Mate

The Mate form allows surface-to-surface mating and alignment.

inlet Create Inlet

The Create Inlet form offers a link to the Inlet/Outlet Setup form directly from a child geometry.

cp Diagnostics

The Diagnostics form reports the position, orientation, and moments of inertia associated with a static body.

arrow Reset

The Reset form moves the object back to its world origin or aligns the object to the world-aligned axis.

help Help

The Help command launches the M-Star reference documentation in your web browser.

If the child geometry is a primitive parametric cuboid, cylinder, or sphere, the following option will launch:

resize Resize

The Resize form adjusts the size of the parametric cuboid, cylinder, or sphere.

If the child geometry is a primitive pipe, tank, parametric, IGES, or STEP file, the following option will launch:

trim Trim

The Trim form cuts holes and segments from existing geometry.

If CAD geometry is imported, the following options will launch:

bomb Explode

The Explode geometry form decomposes a CAD geometry into its constituent solid surfaces.

intpoint Set Internal Point

The Set Internal Point form specifies an interior point for imported CAD geometry.
