Immiscible Thermal Transfer¶
Immiscible Thermal Transfer statistics record the heat flow between Fluid 1 and Fluid 2. It is produced when the fluid configuration is set to immiscible two fluid and interfacial heat transfer is enabled. This data is written to a file name ImmiscibleThermalTransfer.txt as a time series. Positive values imply transfer from Field 1 to Fluid 2. Negative values imply flow from Fluid 2 to Fluid 1. The output file is updated at the Statistics Output Write Interval.
Statistics Table¶
The index table below shows the statistics that can appear in the Immiscible Thermal Transfer file. Within this table, each statistic corresponds to a column in the output table that evolves with the time column.

Usage and Interpretation¶
Immiscible Thermal Transfer is used to track thermal energy flow across the two-fluid interface. It can be used in tandem with the Thermal Field files to understand how energy flow informs the time-evolution of the mean temperature of each fluid.
